No Horsey Happy Meals back to 6-22
hay.gif (2856 bytes) HAY:  There's lots of different kinds of hay.
  • Alfalfa: a "high energy" type of hay. Kind of like  a horsey Power Bar.
  • Timothy-- more like equine pasta.

T gets Timothy because, like, who needs to be feeding a horse Power Bars if he's cooped up in his stall.

Serving Size: Hay peels off the bales in sections called "flakes." T eats about 1 flake an hour, so I "hay" him three to four times per day. Basically, horses can eat as much hay as they want and it's still cool.

waterbucket.gif (1227 bytes) WATER:
  • Two 5 gallon buckets of fresh, clean water.
  • Water buckets need to be cleaned often. I do it daily.
  • Because T is injured, I have to monitor his water intake daily.
oats.gif (1928 bytes) GRAIN:

Caution: Too much can give horses colic (this really bad stomachache that can kill them.) See, horses in the wild never, like, ate any grain (duh), so their stomachs aren't really evolved to deal with it.

Serving Size: 2 one-pound coffee cans crimped oats two times per day. Later, when T's out & about, he'll get more. I feed T "crimped" oats.

Note: Check and make sure T eats all of his oats, because if he doesn’t, he might be sick.
