Mucking Out Traverses Stall: This
is my favorite part of the day (NOT)! But, it's good aerobic exercise, and now I've got
biceps like Demi Moore!
| When |
One good MUCKING once a day. Then pick up piles 2-3 more times/day. |
| How |
- Clear hay out of the way
so it doesn't get icky.
- Scoop up bigger piles.
- Scrape up wet spots.
- Turn over whole stall, putting shavings against wall to clear center of stall. Pick out
anything yucky you find.
- Rearrange shavings. Put fresh shavings on top.

| Cost |
Baled Shavings (wood shavings packed in hay-bale sized cubes) cost $4.50 a
piece. T goes through one every other day. |
