Mucking Out Traverse’s Stall:pitchfork.gif (1160 bytes)

This is my favorite part of the day (NOT)! But, it's good aerobic exercise, and now I've got biceps like Demi Moore!

When One good MUCKING once a day. Then pick up piles 2-3 more times/day.
How
  • Clear hay out of the way manure_anim.gif (1072 bytes)so it doesn't get icky.
  • Scoop up bigger piles.
  • Scrape up wet spots.
  • Turn over whole stall, putting shavings against wall to clear center of stall. Pick out anything yucky you find.
  • Rearrange shavings. Put fresh shavings on top.
Cost Baled Shavings (wood shavings packed in hay-bale sized cubes) cost $4.50 a piece. T goes through one every other day.
